Representation of the myth of Cythère island. At the center of the plate a man and a woman, quenching before boarding. At their side, and as a guide Cupid / Eros god of love. Cythera is a Greek island dedicated to the goddess of love : Aphrodíte. The island is an enchanted place, reserved for love pleasures.
European engraving were sent to China, to be reproduced on porcelain, in order to meet the french market requirements.

Porcelain china of the 18th century, European decor, circular plate, 230mm diameter, grisaille and skin color, liseré of golden flowers red thread, on the wing, nearly invisible frame of the frieze, which has never received its gilding.
Condition:
Good, no cracks or chips, just a few traces of wear on enamels.
Authentic and no restoration.
