Beautiful and rare scenery, illustrating, the ceremony which consisted in planting a tree, symbol of the revolution. In front of the tree decorated with ribbons and lights roundels, a speech was made and every patriotic ceremony ended with songs and dances.
At the centre, the tree of liberty topped the Phrygian cap, on its right a child dance with tricolour scarf, in a cartridge listing, W Liberté.
Nevers 18th century, Revolutionary age, plate diameter 225mm, polychromy.
Condition:
Very good, no cracks or chips.
Authentic and no restoration.
