Rare water bottle with passersby, patronymic scenery representing St. Nicolas. He was bishop of Myre (270-310) in Asia Minor (now Turkey). He became, in the Middle Ages, the patron of small children and schoolchildren. The legend of Saint Nicolas is that the saint has risen three small children.
Nevers 18th century, dated 1735, 240mm height, polychrome.
Very good, no cracks or chips.
Authentic and no restoration.
